Polo Sport is a Ralph Lauren company that deals in all types of apparel, sportswear, gifts, fragrances, paint and just about anything else you could imagine. The company does, manufacture a line of footwear for men, women and children of all ages, but doesn’t focus on athletic shoes in general. Polo does make a line of tennis shoes and general athletic sneakers. Polo started out in 1967. Lauren originally marketed a line of ties and named the company after the sport of polo and incorporated its famous logo of a polo player on a horse. Polo shoes may be designed more for fashion than function the shoes do come in various sizes, materials, colors and styles.
