All About Basketball Rims

Basketball rims are the actual goals that hold the nets you shoot into. Rims are generally made out of steel and are replaceable. They are compatible with most backboards on portable or fixed indoor and outdoor basketball systems. However, some rims are made for indoor use only. Some goals are double rimmed for extra strength, meaning there are two steel rings welded together. Rims can take a lot of abuse with players holding onto them and most good ones are built to withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure pulling down on them. The nets and all of the installation hardware is usually included with most rim purchases. Some of them even come with anti-theft hardware.
