There have been some funny stereotypical bowlers in the past, such as Ralph Kramden, Ed Norton, Homer Simpson, Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone and let's not forget Woody Harrelson and Bill Murray's epic movie, Kingpin. Bowling is an easy and relatively inexpensive sport to learn and it appeals to people in all walks of life, as it's deemed a social activity where individuals or teams can get together and enjoy a night out. All you really need is a ball and a decent pair of shoes and if you don't feel like buying them you can rent these items at your local bowling alley. There are various versions of bowling, such as five pin bowling and ten pin bowling, bumper bowling and glow in the dark games. It's great for fun and for the more serious bowlers there are leagues to join and uniforms to wear.
