While you can box just about anywhere you feel like it for fun and recreation, competitive boxing must take place in a regulated ring. There are many components to a boxing ring including the canvas, corner posts, frame, padding, ropes and covers, turnbuckles, cushions, separators, ring skirts, clamps and stairs. Some rings come with the wood flooring while other models don't include it. Make sure all of the components are solid and durable and are easy to adjust. Ideally, you want to have a ring that isn't to hard to set-up and take down. Boxing rings and accessories come in various sizes, materials and colors. Before you invest in a ring make sure it meets all specifications.
