Boxing robes and trunks are an ideal way for boxers to show off their heritage or individuality in the ring as many of them come custom designed. Most robes and trunks are made of satin or synthetic materials and are made to fit down to your knees or just above them. Make sure your trunks are durable, lightweight and water resistant to keep you cool and dry while wearing them. Your trunks should fit properly over your groin protector and shouldn't be too loose, as the last thing you want is your trunks to fall down during your bout or training routine. They should also enable you to move freely around the ring. Boxing trunks and robes come in various materials, sizes, colors, and designs. Socks are usually optional in boxing; however, many amateur organizations require boxers to wear tank top style t-shirts.
