Cricket is considered a gentleman's sport and perhaps the clothing has a lot do with it. Cricket clothing has been traditionally white for years, but it is becoming more colorful. You can wear anything for a fun game, but if you want to look like the pros you should wear a combination of either shorts, pants, shirts, pullovers, slipovers or sweatshirts. A slipover is a sleeveless sweater, which you wear over a shirt. Shirts come in short sleeve, ¾ sleeve and long-sleeved styles. If the game is played with a red ball, clothing must be white or cream colored, if the ball is white then solid colors should be worn. Warm-up and training suits are also available. Most of the clothing is made of acrylic, cotton, polyester or wool and comes in various sizes. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
