Because curling is a team sport, all of the players on the same team generally wear matching uniforms. There are no official rules regarding clothing, but certain tournaments may designate their own, so make sure you check before playing. Men usually wear pants and long sleeved sweaters or turtlenecks while women usually wear pants or skirts. If you are just playing for fun, then feel free to wear what you like as long as the clothes don’t inhibit your movement. It’s a good idea to wear warm but loose clothing. A lot of curlers wear thermal underwear beneath loose pants along with a sweatshirt or sweater over their shirt. Layering your curling clothing is a good idea. You may be cold at first, but the activity will soon warm you up and you may want to take some of the clothing off. Don’t forget a pair of gloves to keep your hands warm.
