Field hockey goalies wear padded pants that are similar to those worn by ice hockey players. The pants have interior foam and hard composite padding which is covered by a nylon-type outer lining. The pants should protect your inner thigh and hip area, as well as your lower back, spine, tailbone, kidneys and abdomen. The pants should be lightweight and keep you cool and dry during a game. They come with adjustable suspenders or belts for proper fit. Make sure you are well protected, but still have mobility in the pants. Goalie pants come in various sizes and colors.
