Field hockey shoes are an important piece of equipment for all players as you are running, twisting and turning during the game. You need a pair of shoes that will give you superior support and traction for the surface you are playing on. Shoes that are made of strong, light, water resistant materials are a good way to go, but make sure they have sufficient padding in them; especially in the toes to protect you from sticks and the ball.
