Gaelic football is a rough physical sport. The amazing thing about it is the players don't really wear any equipment other than an athletic supporter and shoes. To play the game though, you must wear the proper footwear for the condition of the field and the weather. It's advisable to wear supportive shoes that have cleats or spikes/studs, so you get the traction you need. Removable studs are preferred over studs that are molded into the soles of the shoes, since removable ones can be changed during a game. Make sure the studs are rubber or plastic though, and not metal ones. Make sure your shoes are comfortable and fit properly or you may get blisters on your feet. Gaelic Football shoes come in various materials, styles and sizes.
