All About Used Golf Clubs

A lot of people play golf for the social or business aspect of it, but aren’t necessarily fanatical about the sport. For people who are on a tight budget, who only golf casually or who are just learning the sport, it’s sometimes wise to buy a set of used golf clubs instead of a brand new set. Many beginners don’t really want to spend the money on a brand new set of clubs only to find out they don’t actually like the game after all. A set of used golf clubs can often be just as good as a new set and are usually quite a bit less expensive. Make sure you check used golf clubs out for wear and tear and indentations. If the grips are still in good shape that will be a bonus as you don’t want to spend the extra money to re grip all of the clubs. Metal woods with steel heads usually last longer than metal woods with alloy heads as most alloy heads will include softer aluminum. If you were buying a new set you would probably choose alloy heads, but with used golf clubs you may want to consider steel. When buying used golf clubs you may also want to stick to better known brands as their craftsmanship will usually shine through. If possible, take a few practice swings with the used clubs and make sure they are comfortable and the right size for you. Don’t buy the clubs for the price only.
