If the grips are still in good shape that will be a bonus as you don’t want to spend the extra money to re grip all of the clubs. Metal woods with steel heads usually last longer than metal woods with alloy heads as most alloy heads will include softer aluminum. If you were buying a new set you would probably choose alloy heads, but with used golf clubs you may want to consider steel. When buying used golf clubs you may also want to stick to better known brands as their craftsmanship will usually shine through. If possible, take a few practice swings with the used clubs and make sure they are comfortable and the right size for you. Don’t buy the clubs for the price only.
