Most handball players wear short sleeved shirts and shorts while playing for fun but anything that makes you comfortable is ok. You should make sure the clothing doesn't hinder your movement though. In tournament handball the players must wear shoes, socks, shirts and shorts when playing indoors and the shirts should be full length and not cut off. You don't have to wear a shirt (if male) if you are playing outdoor, unless your opponent requests that you do. You are allowed to wear any color shirt as long as it doesn't distract or hamper the vision of the other players. Lettering or any kind of insignia on your clothing isn't allowed. Headbands must also be accessible as the referee may order you to wear one to keep the floor dry.
