If you are planning on playing competitive hockey, you will soon realize there is a lot of equipment involved. It’s basically impossible to carry your hockey gear around without a hockey bag. Good hockey bags come with separate compartments in them. There should be a large centre compartment to hold your gear along with smaller compartments at the ends or sides of the bag to hold your skates.
Some hockey bags now have added stick pockets in them and cell phone pockets. Your bag should have an adjustable shoulder strap along with carrying handles. Some models come with wheels on them so you can pull them along the ground instead of carrying them. Make sure your hockey bag is strong, lightweight, water resistant and well ventilated. A good hockey bag should also have a reinforced or rubber bottom and it may also have a removable laundry compartment. Because of their extra equipment, goalies need to purchase larger goalie bags. Hockey bags come in various sizes, styles and colors. You can also buy separate bags for your face shield and helmet.
