Over the years, hunting as evolved from a survival technique for food and clothing, into a somewhat controversial sport for food and display. Although it's practiced all over the world, it seems to appeal to the minority of sport lovers. There are various types of hunting as people use guns, crossbows and knives to hunt their prey. There is big game hunting and small game hunting, but make sure you check with local authorities on what game is allowed to be hunted, since some species are protected by extinction laws. The sport can get relatively expensive if you have a collection of guns or bows etc. You also need ammunition, the proper clothing and a license. Hunting often involves other sporting activities such as hiking, camping and boating.
