When certain parts of your inline skates have outlived their use through wear and tear, you are in luck as you can replace the parts them instead of having to buy a whole new set of skates. You can replace the brakes, bearings and wheels on your skates as well as your liners. If you continue to skate on worn out parts, you are risking injury every time you skate. Your brake should have a wear line on it to indicate when it's low. If the wheels are rusty, seize or turn slowly and vibrate you may need to change the bearings. Make sure you know what you're doing when changing parts, if you're unsure then have a sports shop do it.
