When inline skating, even the most experienced competitors should wear helmets even when they're just skating for fun. You never know when you may skate over a pebble or take a fall, so don't take the risk. There are different styles of helmets to use for inline skating as you may prefer a hockey style helmet or a cycling type. Whatever you use make sure it has a hard outer shell and it is well padded inside to cushion any impacts. The helmet should fit snugly on your head and be well ventilated to keep you cool. Helmets come in various styles, materials, sizes and colors.
