It's a good idea to protect yourself at all times when inline skating. Pads are available to protect your wrists, elbows and knees and you can also wear padded gloves if you like. Make sure all of the padding fits well, doesn't move around on you and doesn't interfere with your skating. The pads should be flexible, lightweight and breathable for comfort but should be strong and durable to cushion any impact. Any type of padded gloves are good if you'd like to protect your hands from falls. It's also a good idea for young inline skaters to wear a mouth guard while skating. Padding comes in various materials, sizes, styles and colors.
