Anything is suitable for a recreational game of lacrosse as long as your clothing lets you move about freely and you are dressed for the weather, if you are playing outdoors. If playing in a league, both teams should wear uniforms of different colors and be numbered. For outdoor lacrosse, women usually wear short sleeved shirts and skirts and men wear short sleeved shirts and shorts. Warmer clothing may be worn if it is cold out. For play indoors, long sleeved lightweight sweaters are worn. Track suits and warm-up suits are also available, as are jackets. Lacrosse uniforms come in various materials, sizes and colors.
