All About Ringette Nets

Since ringette is generally played on an ice hockey rink, ringette nets are basically the same as hockey nets. That means they are six feet wide and four feet high. The nets are either free standing on the ice or they are secured into it. If they are secured, they have to be able to break free upon heavy impact to save players from serious injury. If you’d like to practice or play ringette down at the local pond or river you can buy portable nets to take with you. These nets are lightweight, usually made out of a light metal or plastic and are easy to assemble. Most models stand alone on the ice as they have a bottom base built into them. You can also buy replacement string for the nets. Like hockey nets, you can also buy smaller sized ringette nets for young children or for practice drills. Ringette nets come in various sizes, colors and materials.
