A ringette ring is basically a donut-shaped or ring-shaped object. An official ringette ring is 6.5 inches in diameter with a four-inch diameter hole in the center of it. Since the sport is only about 40 years old, ringette hasn’t seen a lot of equipment changes over the years. The rings that are used today are still basically the same as they were when the game originated in 1963. This means that ringette rings are still made of rubber and are still the same size. Ringette is also played indoors and on roller skates and for these versions of the game a larger, harder ring is usually used which will slide well on any surface. Ringette rings are also available in various colors, but usually orange or blue rings are used in most league games.
