Many skate companies are now making skates that can be molded directly to the shape of your feet. This process is usually done with some form of heat, such as a small oven. Make sure that your skates are comfortable and fit you properly as improperly fitted skates will hamper a player's ability to skate and could cause an injury. Many people use skate guards for their ringette skates, but you should use them only when transporting your skates. Most skate guards will collect moisture in them which can cause your skate blades to rust, even though they are stainless steel. Ringette skates come in assorted sizes, materials, styles and colors.
