Some rugby players prefer to play barehanded, while others like to wear gloves. Depending on your position, gloves could be an ideal way to help you improve your play. Linemen should wear gloves for protection and they should be heavily padded especially on the top of the hands and wrists. Receivers, running backs and defensive backs should wear softer, more flexible gloves that have some stickiness to them to help grip the ball. The gloves should be lightweight and keep your hands cool or warm and dry. Make sure your gloves are approved by the league you play in as most of them only allow gloves without fingertips. Gloves come in various materials, sizes and colors.
