All About Skateboard Trucks

Skateboard trucks are the metal or plastic devices that hold the wheels to the deck. Most trucks measure between 4.75 inches and 5.5 inches in width, although there are some longer ones available for longer boards. The wider the truck, the heavier it weighs. An ideal truck is a strong, but light one. Wider trucks offer more stability and narrow ones allow you to do tricks easier. Most long board riders prefer wider trucks. Trucks also have bushings in it, which is the mechanism used to turn the truck. Bushings are available in different levels of hardness, which effect the ease by which a skateboard turns.
