You will need to wear a good sturdy pair of winter boots while snowshoeing. Make sure they are comfortable once they are attached to your snowshoes. You should wear a well-insulated pair with preferably a removable liner in case you start to get warm feet. The boots should be waterproof and breathable to keep your feet dry at all times. Make sure your feet are comfortable and the boots fit well. If you start to get blisters or other foot irritations you will regret it, if you are miles away from base.
