One of the most annoying feelings in softball occurs when you hit the ball or catch it and suddenly you feel a resounding vibration feeling running through the bat or glove into your hands. Wearing a pair of batting or inner gloves is a good way to cushion and cut down this affect. Most gloves have leather palms with nylon padded backs and knuckles, which help protect your hands, keep them dry and enable you to get a good grip on the bat or inside your catching glove. Gloves are also an ideal way to protect your hands against splinters from a wood bat. Make sure your gloves fit you properly and are lightweight and keep you either warm or cool. Gloves are available in various sizes, colors, styles and materials. They are also machine washable and dryable.
