All About Weightlifting Barbells and Weights

Weightlifters are required to lift a weight called a barbell, which consists of a steel bar that weighs 20 kilograms for men’s competition and 15 kilograms for women’s competition. At each end of the steel bar, rubber-coated and different colored weights in the form of discs are added and fastened with the help of collars, which weigh 2.5 kilograms each. Each end of the bar will then weigh the same. You can purchase the barbells and different weighted discs separately. Make sure your barbell has good grips on it, as you can’t afford to have it slip on you. Barbells and weights come in various sizes and materials.
